Cremated remains are mixed with environmentally safe concrete to create a durable placement module, which is then installed in the structure of your choice.

Ocean Placement
The cremated remains of your loved ones may rest in eternal peace at the Poseidon Memorial Reef off Destin, Florida, in accordance with all EPA regulations and permits. We provide the GPS coordinates and position in the structure of your choice for your records.

Cremated Remains Transfer
If you are using a funeral director, they will transfer the cremated remains to Ocean Legacies. If we are assisting you directly, you can ship the cremated remains to us using the materials and instructions we provide you. We handle all logistics securely and respectfully.

Documentation & Certificate
You will receive a commemorative certificate, exact location details in the structure of your choice, GPS coordinates, placement date, and photographic documentation of the memorial reef and placement ceremony.

Lasting Legacy
Your memorial placement in the Poseidon Memorial Reef becomes a permanent part of the ocean ecosystem, supporting marine life and creating a living tribute that grows and flourishes over time.
Timeline & What to Expect
From initial consultation to final placement, the entire process typically takes 4-8 weeks, depending on weather conditions and placement schedules.
Week 1-2
Package selection, paperwork completion, and cremated remains transfer. We coordinate with your funeral director or provide direct shipping instructions.
Week 3-6
Preparation and curing of the Memorial Capsule. Each capsulel is carefully crafted and allowed to cure properly before ocean placement. Families are updated throughout the process.
Week 7-8
Ocean placement at the Poseidon Memorial Reef site. Families receive GPS coordinates, commemorative certificate, and photographic documentation within one week of placement.
